Round table “SMART specialization of Donetsk and Luhansk regions”

On November 11, a round table “SMART specialization of Donetsk and Luhansk regions”, organized within the framework of the USAID project “Economic support of Eastern Ukraine”, took place in an online format. The leading researcher of the department of financial and economic problems of using production potential of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, took part in the event. In the first part of the meeting, regional coordinators and experts talked about the intermediate results of the process of entrepreneurial discovery, emphasizing the potential priorities of innovative development of the regions.
Natalia Shvets, as the coordinator of the “Chemical production” direction in the Luhansk region, presented project ideas that are being developed by the regional working group, and drew attention to the peculiarities of the organization of the process of entrepreneurial opening in the region.
The second part of the event was devoted to the discussion of tools for implementing smart specialization strategies, internal and external programs to support them, as well as familiarization with the best Ukrainian and global practices of smart specialization.
